CRYPTID HUNTER Game Series
The Elusive Card Game

The first game to put the player in the shoes of a cryptid hunter was Cryptid Hunter: The Elusive Card Game. Designed explicitly to give the player a cryptid hunting experience, this game puts heavy emphasis on the thrill of the hunt. This is not a mainstream hack-and-slash game.
Players assume the roles of unique cryptid hunters while managing resources and avoiding obstacles that are often well before any encounter with mysterious creatures. With unwelcoming townies, secret government agencies, and typical travel hazards, cryptids can be the least of a hunter's worries. The intensity builds as players compete to gather leads, collect evidence, and eventually attain proof of their personal cryptid encounters.
